if you have completed using IMAP you should not be recieving duplicate emails on your phone.
my WM6.1 always wants to autoconfigure the email so i typed in xxxxx@gmail as the address (without the .com) then clicked next. then it allows me to uncheck automatically download configuration.
from there i set up the email as the directions show. once finished i went back into the account and filled in the correct email address.
