there is no way, I repeat, no way for sprint to know you are tethering from the ppc-6700. future ppc phones will implement a feature to tell sprint, although there may or may not be workarounds. another reason to hold on to the 6700 when the 6800 arrives; tethering.

even if they disabled usb and bt tetering, you still have the option (although its a little complicated but it works) of using your 6700 as a wireless evdo router/access point. I've been able to connect to the 6700 via ad hoc and browse the web on my laptop usin wifi. in laymen's terms, this means I connected my laptop to my 6700 via a wifi connection (ad hoc) and browsed the web. the drawback: only able to use port 81 which is www/http only; no email or even email checking!
