Yeah, that is very not good. You won't make it more then 6 hours on the OEM with that load.
TaskMgr/CPULoad shows no runaways? If not, it's just too much EVDO (Agile?)
I assume its the same after a soft reset? Time to unload apps, and add em back one by one until it starts wigging out again, so you can find the one causing the problem.
