If it takes longer than 30 seconds, it seems more like a toy than something functional. My Sanyo M1 would find location in less than 2 seconds, every time. Within 10 feet or so.

I guess I should have clarified that the 5 minutes was just for the very first fix. Now it gets me within seconds (but thats not a cold start, I'll have to test that tomorrow...anyone wanna write 10 pages about license plate recognition?)
