When I used to go to GPS Viewer it would take a while for it to find the GPS - now if I start GPS viewer - set it to COM 4 (I jack up the baudrate - not sure if it matters much) and then click on Open GPS - it nearly finds the info instantly. THen WITH GPS VIEWER OPEN (not exiting it) - I switch to google maps or live seach and it can instantly find my location via GPS.
Hopefully someone will figure out a batch file or some such thing that does those things for GPS Viewer without having to go through GPS viewer, changing the drop downs etc so that it is a little less involved but you gotta appreciate the work like Mustan-Tech and the like are doing so that idiots like me can have a working GPS in the first place. |
Thanks for your tip, Boe. But my GPS still doesn't work. I guess it's broken or something. And I'd better stop standing in the cold before I catch one.
