yep, had the same problem. i recommend trying different com ports in settings>system>external gps. try GPS program ports 3,4, or 5. or any of the other ones. under settings>system>external gps>(the tab) access, make sure its checked to manage automatically. you can also try google maps, (i personally do not use GPS view bc it sucks my battery) but make sure that under GPS settings, its set for windows to automatically detect it.

**also: you could update to dcd's 3.0.4. it works for me!
