Live Search and Google maps aren't very Canada friendly either. Plus you need to have a data connection, I think. I saw somewhere info about downloading the maps to your device but I could be wrong.
iGuidance isn't too bad, got it free with a BT Puck, but TomTom is probably 1 of the best.
There is 1 that calls out street names too. Don't know which one though.
