I have done this (replace screen) and I can strip a PPC 6700 to the component parts in about 10 minutes. I have done this with the one I am running now a couple times, even trading out the blue backlight keyboard for the white backlight keyboard.I strongly recommend changing the screen and digitizer if you haven't done it before, because then it's only one unit, and two plug in connectors. Peeling off the old digitizer isn't the issue here, it's getting the new one on and functional.
