Word of warning: DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. You will most likely need an A-key in any case, so find what yours is and save it forever.
An A-key is a one use authentication key to enable voice over 1x. A dmu reset will help reset the data authentication and your evdo data connection. Just tell them you did a hard reset as its a well known issue with the xv6800 with vzw tech support.
