Yea I agree you did essentially say the same thing. I think it takes 4 satellites to get a 3d lock, but one can get a 2d lock with only 3 satellites. At least thats what my garmin handset does

A question on that Sprint Family Locator. Doesnt that send a text to the handset that is being tracked to warn the person that he/she is being tracked?
