Bushrod - thanks for the link. What's missing (or what I missed) from that is a discussion of the tradeoffs in performance, memory allocation, etc. across RAM Disks, paging pools, etc. What applications are most responsive to these changes, which are less so?
Do you know of any such discussion or place to go for this info.
Also, FWIW, I've used a hex editor to look at the .nba's of a variety of ROM's - Verizon Stock, Helmi_c 3.3, Col3.3Beta2, etc. and they all seem to have a standard 8MB pool.
