I've been using InClose (the same version I posted) for months and months on my Sprint 6700, running on both Sprint's AKU 2.0 and the Telecom NZ AKU 2.2. I have never had a shell error of any kind.

So Alwaysbelieve1, I think your deduction is wrong. I bet you've got something else installed that is conflicting with task managers... period.

Try running a stock AKU 2 or 2.2 ROM (I mean with no other programs installed other than the task manager app you want to test) and see if you get shell errors. I bet you won't.

For what it's worth, I've used the HTC task manager without problems too. But it lacks two important features that InClose has:

1. No exceptions (i.e. you never want to close the phone app nor activesync)
2. No list of running apps.

I have also used Magic Button without problems either. The reasons I don't use it:

1. It replaces the square X with the old-school circle X. In doing so, it screws up any skin with a non-standard top bar color. Really ugly (and I'm not that picky).

2. It puts running apps icons in the top bar, where there really isn't enough room to show them. InClose (and others) use a drop-down menu which makes a lot more sense.

Again, I maintain there is some app conflict causing these shell errors (and Smartskey is not it because I run that with Inclose without issue).

I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it.
