ok, what exactly is happening when my 6800 syncs with my laptop? I mean, I know it "synchronizes" but I don't see any duplicate system file structure on my laptop or anything.

Reason I ask is that my buddy told me that I can hard-reset my 6800 and then, when I plug it into my laptop, it will reload everything clean sort of like norton ghost...

is that true? please explain this mystery to me.
