People continue to have this fanboy attitude towards things they know very little about.

Actually, I wasn't. Luv2Chill freaked out
after I released my variant on Helmi's kitchen (which the readme clearly declared as such) and chastised me for not
asking permission so they could tell me no. When it became clear that I was not allowed to do the same thing JBabey did before me and Dogguy did later, I pulled the kitchen voluntarily and did not rerelease it ever again.
Why were the rules different for me? I don't know. I know Helmi's complaints with JBabey were much the same as his complaints with me, but I was punished much more severely. It could have been because of my higher visibility, that people were more likely to try and trust a kitchen with my name on it.
But the history as paynej lays it out is mostly correct. I used to be respected around here, I sinned against the ROM gods and I've been paying for it ever since. And now that I point out that their attitude is, for the most part, arrogant, condescending and hostile to anyone not as geeky as they are, I'm flamed again. As a former developer myself, I understand the way ego and ownership can affect the way programmers behave. It's a shame this project is driven more by personality and self-aggrandizement than a desire to help people that couldn't have figured this out on their own.
