Nah. "Planning" had nothing really to do with it... I had been purchasing the items myself over the past two years that I had my VX6700, and had bought the battery in late December... not knowing that the department would be providing brand new VX6800s to all of the officers in February. General rule was that we were to do what we could to keep the equipment we were assigned in optimum operating condition... and that meant using whatever cases, holsters, skins, batteries, chargers, etc. that "made it so". Okay, so I went a bit overboard and spoiled myself with new and better kit every now and then.... but, hey - I thought it worth it! That included purchasing LOADS of software programs from Handango.com... only to find I have kept (and actually use) about 15% of what I bought. I like to think of it as cheap (?!) therapy. Anyhow, if anyone is really serious about the VX6700 accessories we're offering, the selling price is a considerable savings from what they would be if sold at full retail...!
