Re: Keyboard backlight not turning on after upgrade

Thought I'd let everyone know... I was at the bar last night, and trying to text and keyboard back light REFUSED to come on. I slid it like 12 times before just typing carefully. So this morning I used the search feature, and found this thread.

My issue was screen brightness. I had it on the lowest setting because, heck, I could still see it and it'd extend battery life. I opened up the keyboard, which didn't light up, went to Start > Settings > System > Backlight and slid the "On Battery Power" slider over ONE notch and the light popped right on. Oh, and the sensor for the keyboard backlight is turned off, in case you're wondering.

As a previous poster stated, this is a battery hit, but minimal enough to say "who gives a ****" AND, if your phone idles for a few seconds it will revert to lowest backlight, which in turn shuts off the keyboard backlight as well. Just thought I'd share what worked for me.
