The rebates change each month and it is easy to get the wrong rebate form which invalidates the rebate request and quite often the customer does not have copies of the proper documentation to resubmit. 3. customers send in the proper forms but get denied because the contract was not renewed for 2 years at the time of purchase. In this case, call customer care and have the rep renew the contract USING THE DATE THE NEW PHONE WAS ACTIVATED. this triggers the system somehow and the rebate check should arrive within a month. If you fall into any other senario, good luck getting the rebate. the sad fact is that store reps, retention reps and even telesales make promises that cant be kept. Customer care is instructed to NOT give credits on accts. for any rebate issues no matter what.

This is why I recommend people get their Touch(or other Sprint phone) at Radioshack. They give you and up to date printout right at the time of purchase for your mail in rebate if applicable and you do get it back, it just takes about 2 billing cycles from the time they receive the paperwork for you to receive the check.
