I got my rebate for my Touch and it wasn't $100.

As some of you may already know, I work for Radioshack. Radioshack actually prints out 2 copies of your receipt and a separate receipt at the time of purchase which is your mail in rebate.

When I bought my Touch in January, I got my employee discount on the phone so I did have to pay full price for the phone but after Tax it came to just under $350 instead of around $370.

February 1st the phone went on sale for $99 after mail in rebate and Radioshack has a policy that if ANYTHING you buy goes on sale within 30 days after you purchase it, they will refund you the difference.

Here's the nice part. The day I bought the phone I went home and immediately filled out and mailed out my rebate. 2 weeks later it went on sale so I went and got refunded the difference but they didn't ring up the phone with an employee discount this time so I got $160 some dollars back. The way Radioshack had to do this, they had to refund the phone and resell it to me at the sale price so I had to mail my rebate out again which really wasn't a big deal.

Sprint sent me my rebate check alright... A whopping $200 check.

Now I'm not that good at math but when I first bought the phone, I paid less than $350 for it. Now I got back $360 some dollars back for it.

So... To make a long story short, I lucked out because Sprint screwed up. I got my Touch for FREE after mail in rebate.
