Re: 8 Gb Memory Card Question.....

They are about $50 on ebay now, YMMV

Be warned I got one from "youpaylessla aka action169" and it failed at 1gb of transfering data using the usb micro sdhc reader it came with in my PC. Neither the touch or the PC could recognize the card after that no matter what I tried.

I made 100% sure it wasn't me making a mistake by using other card readers and devices that should be able to read it, to no avail. I returned it to the vendor, just for him to claim it is working and charged me another $5 to send it back.. Still waiting for the reship.

Next step if it doesn't work right is to contact the manufacturer for warranty (Sandisk). The vendor does claim it to be 100% authentic. I am hoping that's true.

Personally I would look into buying from someone that others have tried and be sure you have some kind of return policy. In the end the time, costs and ordeal may not be worth the "savings".

In fairness, this may have something to do with the problem of corrupt SD cards on the Touch or may not.. All my other cards still work well.

P.S. My item came in an original retail package (which can be counterfeited as well) with casing, key ring tie and black/orange usb reader. With a CD adapter separately.
