thank you everybody for the thread. I did it and it works like a charm... only I downloaded from the link they sent me (
http://mapquestdtc.telmap.com/ota) and the cab there also fired up my GPS so I'm thinking maybe they already uploaded the new file on their site.
I checked regular website and it says you get 7 days free trial with a normal subscription so you can really get 37 days free trial... unless they block it somehow but I doubt. It does look like you need to put your credit card for the 7 days free trial
Is it the same application? Did anyone try this before?
