OK, I think I know what your problem is... but you have to understand I'm just getting my feet wet here, so I could be wrong...!
It seems to me like you probably neglected to include coreplayer or tcpmp (actually both are made by the same company... core is the newer version), but anyhow... you will need something like this to handle the .vlc video format that youtube requires!
To be honest I really like the coreplayer, way better than WMP anyhow... much faster, more responsive, and all around way more functional. Now, not to confuse you, but if I'm wrong, I know that there is another possible solution... I know I saw a "youtube player" in the WM6.0 kitchen, and that could be what is letting me play my youtube videos... But, I installed both, so I don't know for sure which is actually providing the needed codecs!? I only know that I actually view the videos in the coreplayer program.
I would just install both...
