Well, don't give up hope...it's a newly found issue so it might take some time to see if they can find a workaround. I'd follow, monitor and maybe even participate in that thread and discussion. Only numbers and brainstorming might reslove this.
Seems to be isoloated to phones made April and beyond (for ref. I just checked mine: 9/10/05!
).
Another option: run back to sprint and see if you can exchange it for a pre-April phone! (you'll have to check the manufacture date via ##786#, just
do not hit that reset soft-key!)
