I have to say that for a while I was very concerned about using Telenav. I dont like paying for things monthly when I can buy them outright. However, my own explanation above actually helped me to solve that dilema. Thinking about how to answer the question helped me bring the numbers into perspective. Now my only problem is the worry about a lack of net connection. However, I figure with the exception of my return drive across country back to the East Coast I will rarely have that problem, and when I do. I just pull out a good old fashioned mapbook.

Incidently, Garmin Mobile is available in the Sprint Application lounge for 9.99/mo now as well. Im trying to figure out if the 9.99 is a generic charge from sprint for "Navigation Capability" or if its tied to a specific program. Id like to try and compare the two.
