im pretty sure it's not a limitation of CDMA. the problem is windows mobile doesn't poll the tower to get updated count, it just polls to check if there are any unread (true=1 false=0) all my other sprint phone (non-window mobile) show accurate message count for voicemail.. plus its more typical to blame MS and not the carrier
