Let me start off by saying that I have no interest in taking this offer no matter what the terms. I have plenty of work as it is, so what I'm going to say here is for the aid of others who may be considering this.

You can get a brand new PPC6700 on ebay for $350 (probably less if you look around). Not including anything but the 20 hours of consulting work the "winner" is required to do, that comes out to $17.50 an hour, which is a pretty paltry wage for consulting of such a specialized nature. Then add in all the time someone would need to put in to customize a ROM to your whims and that wage will drop like a rock. I know you claim you are ignorant of the technical details involved in creating ROMs for these things, but it's no walk in the park. Hours and hours go into it.

And vague intentions of other unnamed, unvalued benefits don't really sweeten the pot, to be honest.

I think you're just trolling for cheap consulting. No one here has any reason to trust that you'd come through with your promises for further work or even that you'd deliver the "prize" (which isn't really a prize at all but a cheap wage for a lot of hard work. To turn it into cash they'd need to sell it on ebay and eat the ebay/paypal fees).

Maybe there are some folks here desperate for money, but anyone who has the skills you're asking for is worth a hell of a lot more than $17.50 an hour. You might want to re-think your paltry offer if you're seriously interested in getting help from an expert. And figure out a way to lend yourself some credibility so the lucky "winner" doesn't worry he's going to get screwed out of his wage.

And you won't even pay to ship the thing?

EDIT: Is this even a brand new 6700? I noticed you never said so either way.
