It is stored on the email server's client information. Thus if I sent an email via GMail on my phone, it should send the same SMTP data to google whether or not my GMail's reply-to field has Sprint in it or not.
Also, if Sprint was blocking the mail, it would never show up on the email system itself. But when checking my sent mail folder, the email is definitely there.
I still think its the email headers that are what's causing the problem. If you send an email via phone the header is distinctly different than an email via PC/Internet. Thus recipient email systems (picture and text) don't want to receive them if they have a different reply-to IP than the host IP. However, if they use a more standard header, they may still retain that ability.
While Sprint does have Tier 3 internet relays, not all internet traffic goes through them, and I don't think they would be allowed to do that anyways.
I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, I respect the work and help you've been putting into this. This is just my opinion, so feel free to prove me wrong.

You have valid points...and I think both you and I have beat this thing to the ground. I am happy with my current solution...for now. No need to keep going back and forth. I just don't understand why sprint wont allow us to do it. That just floors me.
