reinstalling was going to be the next thin I suggested
it shouldn't but sometimes it fixes the weirdest and dumbest things ...
and yea it defaults to the messaging button but I don't think the button its associated with had anythin to do with your problem ... I changed my associations around while I was playing with it last night and it didn't affect anything ...
in any event im glad you got it working ... I can imagine your frustration ...
