When you are setting up direct push email and you all ready have outlook on your PPC set to receive email from your PC, such as your office or work email it is necessary to sync first and go to options and uncheck the outlook mail. If you don't do this, what you will end up with is, an active sync error. It is trying to sync email from 2 sources the push mail server and the outlook from your PC. So if you are going to try to set up push mail keep this in mind. I hope this helps
