Hello there
I would like to thank the thread creator, it was probably the most helpful information for a person who had just received a 6800 in the mail and wanted to immediatley dive into fine tuning the device.
Well, I've been through everything, including having succombed to the dreaded Sprint monster's installation out of sheer carelessness.
To all of you other Alltel users who made the same mistake I did of letting the Sprint installation crap all over your 6800, here is an unmolested copy, clean and pure of what you received in the box:

1) First run the Titan Re-Locker program that will take your bootloader thing (the color screen) from olipro 2.4 and move back to 1.0x.... (the new 2.4 bootloader won't work with the Alltel original ROM)
2) Run the Alltel update listed above, and your device should be as good (or lame) as new.
Problem I am having however:
The GPS chip in my device is extremely finicky, only working exactly half of the time.Sometimes Live and Google Maps will pinpoint perfectly, other times they will come up with absolutley nothing. (COM PORT 4, BAUD 4800)
I believed it had something to do what I did after I fixed my mistake of going all the way with the Sprint installer. I then proceeded to go back to the original Alltel ROM and building back up to the success of DCD's 3.01.
The only way to make it work (50% of the time) Is through doing soft resets of the device and switching the option "Reveal my Location" On and off and back again.
Any suggesstions on how I should go about getting the GPS to at least work 75% of the time?
