I came from the Palm OS (please no flaming), and have always had a great respect for Resco applications. I have been beta testing Resco Backup for PPC, and have found that it is rock solid. I do daily backups (incremental) to the SD card, and have restored on multiple (times multiple) occasions (full and partial backups) without a glitch.
I am running a VZW XV6800 with latest DCD rom and radio.
