After working at this for days (because of my own faults and lack of knowledge (even when following the tutorial)), I finally have gotten my tethering together =D>. I am now connected
! I have disabled my network device from my notebook, and connected via my phone's modem so that I can give it a try. I am composing this message via my tethered connection. WOO WHO!
