My Rom Kitchen has a tutorial (readme.txt) in it that takes you step by step to building the same custom ROM that i released. That should be good to get you comfortable with the process. From there it's all about adding and removing OEM folders and once we get it set up on here i'm sure they will be readily available. To add an OEM folder just copy it into the OEM directory and then start to build the ROM just like my readme.txt says. There are no different steps. The rom it creates does keep a fairly high amount of storage and program memory available too as it is somewhat basic.
I didn't have much time last night to look at the 3.5, but i should have some more time to work it out soon. In the meantime i'm starting to wonder how many people would still like a 3.5 rom even w/o the usb portion working. It could still sync over the air (mail2web). Just a thought. i'm still looking at it and getting closer, but this part is somewhat uncharted or undocumented at least.
