Re: nueMMS - beta test sprint workaround

How does pktpix know which numbers belong to which carriers? Is there some sort of database or formula? I can't see how it could be a formula since people can port their number from one carrier to another. I wonder if there is a way to tap into a database so that nueMMS can send emails directly to carriers rather than redirect through pktpix. This way you could send picture messages/emails without knowing everyone's carrier. Just a thought.
Also, part F of the FAQ: it sounds more like email FROM the CARRIER is getting messed up. Since most PM's are done through a normal phone, they use their carriers email system to send PM's. Thus when directed to pktpix if they are from helio or Metro PCS, the data is funny and cannot be redirected to the appropriate number. However, nueMMS sends out email via regular email systems. I don't know if that is true, that is just my initial interpretation.
