When I create the shortcut to wmodem.exe in the start menu, it just reads \windows\wmodem.exe and I can't edit the properties on the mobile device. The wmodem program will not run from a shortcut or by attempting to run it directly from the \windows directory. I assume that's because I'm missing the /LAUNCH argument.
If I take the shortcut to a PC and edit the properties and copy it back, it says "not a valid shortcut" just like the one in the zipfile does.

When adding the files to your phone, all your going to need is to get
Wireless Modem.lnk and add it to the
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder on your device
Then get the
WModem.exe and add that to
\Windows
Finally get
WModem.exe.0409.mui and add that to
\Windows as well.
nothing to do with
/LAUNCH
