A little off topic for this thread, but why don't you just set your gmail account up as an IMAP account in Pocket Outlook?
gmail supports IMAP now (they did this for the iPhonies). No forwarding, no muss, no fuss, just your mailbox in your pocket with folders synchronized to gmail all the time.
