Yeah like I said in the opening post, I have been using iGuidance, having replaced TomTom with it and I chose it because it has the text to speech and announces the side of the street when you arrive.

My problem with it is that even when switching between quickest, shortest, and major, route finding options, it never gives me a very logical route. Tested against TomTom, livesearch and googlemaps, it's by far the worst in this regard. Also the maps aren't very attractive or well rendered compared to TomTom.

I did read in the other gps poll thread that TomTom was updated with text to speech so I may try it out again if I can track down a new version.

Otherwise I might try iGo or CoPilot, but I was hoping to get some confirmation about their features before spending the time to install them just to find out they don't do what I want.
