If your paid profession is to service Sprint phones, then there is no, absolutely no reason you should not know EVERYTHING about the phones you will have to service. You are a professional and you should act as such and be as knowledgeable or more than any other non-professional. It is hard to be more knowledgeable then some geeks but you should be tied into the same places they are so you can be caught up as much as they are. Complacency is rampant in the American workforce. Don't believe me? go to any government agency, they represent the country and they are the worst. Go to any retail store, they are horrible at knowing wtf is going on in their own companies, i.e. neighboring store's activities. Sprint should have done a much better job at disseminating the proper info for a much anticipated release. That store manager should be reprimanded for not sharing his knowledge with his front line staff. That rep should be pissed at the manager for not cluing him in. That Tech should be ashamed that he is a non-geek in a geek job. He got info slapped by a more knowledgeable customer.
