I´ve found a shareware shell to translate the UI of WM6. It´s called Spb Mobile Shell. It has arabic language (as well as spanish). Maybe you can try this to see if your SMS are sent using UNICODE or something it can be readable for you.
For me, Spb 3.5.5 in spanish works nice, but it freezes my phone every couple of days.
