But who is to say keyboard phones can't be made thinner? There are keyboard phones for example with around the same thickness as a Epic touch 4g and galaxy note. So I do believe its not impossible. So we are on the same page, the primary reasons why phones have gotten so big is because of limitations in AMOLED technology at release time.
