this may be a stupid question but after u ran superwipe, did u reboot or did u install the new ROM then reboot? I only ask, since u didn't specify. If this is the case, after running superwipe, you have no OS, and u will get exactly what u described. Superwipe is what I use, never had an issue with it, but it's only used b4 flashing a new ROM.
