I have messed around with eternity in the past and the numerous bugs it had lol..
My guess your hboot 1.5?
What software build are you on before you rooted? 2.08 or 2.17 To me the issue sounds like the twrp didn't wipe right.... What steps did you do when you flashed?
When you get on the HTC splash screen how long does it sit there take about a min or so for it to move on..
Which twrp are you on?
How are you flashing?
2.0.1 seemed to fix everyone up the older builds of that recovery had issues with dirty flashes to not wiping right ...
If you have adb on your computer
While in hboot phone plugged in make sure you have a copy of your recovery img in your platform tools folder. Now open a cmd window and use ADB..
fastboot boot recovery.img. now wipe and flash the rom... You should be good to go this method is the way I always flash.. I use the older version of clockwork mod... 4.0 somthing.
