Since switching to Verizon. I see around the same speeds on LTE in Pittsburgh that i go with Sprint Wimax on the Evo. Only difference is much higher upload speeds on Verizon. Biggest difference is the LTE coverage has less dead zones and stays on in most areas around town. The highest dl speeds I've seen here are about 12mb down but they usually average around 5-8mb down. I'll take that . 3g is no different here from a speed perspective than Sprint, but honestly sprint has better 3g coverage around my house but I only know this because my wife's phone is 3g only. Mine stays on lte in my house.

one last thing, battery life is better on LTE than wimax, at least from what I've noticed.
