What I'd do (or rather what I have already done) is order a new digitizer off eBay. It's like 15 bucks or so,
And just replace it. The screen itself is glass. then the digitizer, plastic, sits ontop of it with a very very small gap. When you press, it pinpoints where you are pressing from the gap being closed,
Now the thing is that the screen and digitizer come togeather.
So it will replace both.
You might however have an LCD issue...
That's a bit more expensive....
