You can't change .27 kernels, you'll lose all audio.
Unable to mount rootfs is an indication of a few things, none of which are related to the kernel. a) you don't have a rootfs.img file where you run haret from. b) you have everything in a folder, but didn't specify rel_path=. I can't think of another scenario that would result in unable to mount rootfs.img, but there's probably at least one more silly user-error thing that would result in that.
Remember, this is for testing. Replacing kernels is a very basic thing - I expect people who run this to be able to pull logs... So please, review
