I've been running CM7 (7.1.0 right now) on my Color Nook since it (CM7) came out. If that gives me any indication of what it would be like on a phone then I might have to say, no...I don't think I would.
While it's pretty slick for my Nook, I feel I would do better getting a phone specific rom instead of something that seems to be ported to multiple devices.
That's just my quick 2 cents worth.
