Getting the files and backups ready to dump to the device but the stupid Mobile Device Center is not stable on the desktop to which I have access.
Don't want to do the Hard Reset unless I am confident that all the needed files can be transferred.

i appreciate the fact you are hard reseting ! i know it can be a pain at times im usually flashing new ROM's to my device so i hardly care xP plus everything like cab's and other important docs are on my MicroSD .
Thanks again for trying the hard reset ! after you do that , just install the original cab i made for unlocking to home found in this current thread , i still didnt fix the one on the other thread where you found the screen off while locked script :P
