But I see your point. You want a enough memory so that you aren't constantly going out to the data stream to download from the cloud.

I thought I had read something that the system would be uploading to the cloud anyway as all devices would be able to synch that way. For instance, if you have an iphone, ipad and mac computer, they would all be synched should you say make an entry in your contacts or calendar. Good concept but think about what it'll do to the total internet overhead when you have hundreds of millions of phones with many of them doing this multiple times throughout the day.
