I was going to task 29 and reflash but now I'm affraid if the phones not even being recognized. Is there some setting or something that happened to of gotten changed that block my phone other than the obvious -virus protection.

In my opinion, the only way to know for sure that you have a hardware problem is to flash the shipped rom back on your device and then delete partnerships and uninstall then reinstall WMDC on your PC. Backup any data you want to save first of course. Then if things work you can always flash a custom rom after you troubleshoot.
