HERE it is for 2.08 ROMS also. Were you using Glasskin when you tried it before and gave up?
There is no need for a fix using a 2.08 rom and a 2.08 lock ring. Scrosler probably took the fix down because it is no longer necessary. I will update the first post accordingly.
