NRGZ28 Energy... all the winmo roms are final. 16 Aug

A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How those ROM's used to make me smile.
And I knew if he had a chance
That he could make those posters dance
And, maybe, they’d be happy for a while.

But february made me shiver
With only a monthly ROM that he’d deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldn't take one more step.

I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about this quadband ride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day that Win...Mo died.

So bye-bye, NRG Sense UI.
Drove my browser to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were flashin’ Sense UI
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that it died.
"this’ll be the day that I die."

Did you write the ROM we love,
And do you have faith in PPCGeeks above,
If, the Wiki tells you so?
Do you believe in rock ’n roll,
Can that hard reboot save your mortal soul,
And can you teach me how to flash dance real slow?

Well, I know that you’re in love with SIM
`cause I saw you modding’ in the gym.
You both kicked off your shoes.
Man, I dig those background blues.

I was a lonely post-teenage broncin’ buck
With a gray TP2 and a modded ROM,
But I knew I was out of luck
The day... that WinMo died.

I started singin’,
"bye-bye, miss american UI."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that it died.
"this’ll be the day that I die."

The next few years we’ll be on our own
While Droid grows fat on a rollin’ stone,
But that’s not how it used to be.
When MaxSense sang for the king and queen,
In a coat later borrowed by Cookie homescreen,
With the widgets that came from you and me,

Oh, and while NRG was looking down,
Android stole his thorny crown.
The courtroom was adjourned;
The verdict was returned.
And while the users flashed Energy ROMs,
GTX & TOG knocked it outta the park,
And we flashed Sencity in the dark
The day the music died.

We were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american UI."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day it all died.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
...

Oh, and there we were all in one place,
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again.
So come on: ROM be nimble, ROM be quick!
Last flash on a 12 pagepool candlestick
Cause Energy ROMs & TP2 are our friends.

Oh, and as I watched them leave the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No android angel born in hell
Could break the WinMo spell.
And as thread views climbed high past that 3 million mark
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw 32,000 posts laughing with delight
The day the music died

He was singing,
"bye-bye, TP2 & Energy ROM."
Drove my browser to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were flashin' Sense UI
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."

I met a user who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news,
But she just smiled and turned away.
I went down to the sprint store
Where I’d heard the music years before,
But the man there said the music wouldn’t play.

And in the forums: the modders screamed,
The posters cried, and the developers dreamed.
But not a word was spoken;
The alarm bells all were broken.
And the one man I admire most:
Caught the last sys for the coast
The day the music died.

And they were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day it all died.
"this’ll be the day that I die."

We're all singing,
"bye-bye, WinMo Sense UI."
Drove my browser to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were flashin’ the last UI
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die."
